Fair Tax vs. Flat Tax
Neal Boortz takes on Daniel Mitchell in a debate between the two tax reform plans. Mitchell cites examples of political defeat connected to the Fair Tax but fails to remember that Denise Majette essentially lost her race for the House because she ran around telling lies about the Fair Tax. He also forgets that HR 25 calls for repealing the 16th Amendment -- which answers his biggest criticism of the possibility that we would end up with both a consumption tax AND an income tax. The possibility of politicians monkeying with the Flat Tax rates is a proven precedent. Fair Tax wins.
