Politics 101: Perdue as I say, not as I PerdueCouldn't have said it better myself. Perdue is an idiot.
How The Banking Settlement Got Spent In Georgia - Forbes.com Ouch! Cathy Cox gets callled to task by none other than Forbes for her spending of the global settlement money as a disguised political move. I still love her.
Fair Tax vs. Flat Tax Neal Boortz takes on Daniel Mitchell in a debate between the two tax reform plans. Mitchell cites examples of political defeat connected to the Fair Tax but fails to remember that Denise Majette essentially lost her race for the House because she ran around telling lies about the Fair Tax. He also forgets that HR 25 calls for repealing the 16th Amendment -- which answers his biggest criticism of the possibility that we would end up with both a consumption tax AND an income tax. The possibility of politicians monkeying with the Flat Tax rates is a proven precedent. Fair Tax wins.

John McCain said it best a few weeks ago on explaining why he voted YEA on Clinton's Supreme Court nominees: "Because I understand that elections have consequences and one of them is that the victorious party is allowed to select Supreme Court nominees." Despite unanimous approval of Clinton's picks, bitter Democrats just don't have the same class.

Lawmaker to appeal denial of immunity in DUI case | ajc.com As if our SAT scores, our Governor, and "Intelligent" Design don't make us look dumb enough... now we have a state legislator arguing that he can't be prosecuted for a DUI. Not because he wasn't DRUNK -- but because the state constitution does not allow state lawmakers to be arrested during sessions of the General Assembly. It was mentioned on Fox News by Brit Hume tonight. Graves should be forced to pay the taxpayers back for every dime it is costing the court system to hear this stupid defense appeal.
Oh, and don't miss the fact that his lawyer's name is "Bubba." Very nice.

Sweet RevengePoliceman fired over remarks to gay men. Good job, Anne Fauver! Gay folk in Midtown know all too well the discrimination shown by the APD... especially in the park after dark. With our "GLB Liaison" at the Police Department nothing but a figurehead and completely ineffective, this is all the more sweeter.
